Steel Erection on Site

We directly employ permanent teams of fully trained and experienced steel erectors. This enables us to have full control of our site activities and gives us the ability to increase resources and accelerate site programmes where required. Our in-house appointed person oversees all crane lifting operations.

A company director will take charge of all site work for each of our projects. This will generally involve;

• A pre-start site visit and assessment of requirements
• Issuing of RAMS and crane lifting plans
• Setting up the erection process on the first day on site
• Daily contact with our site chargehand
• Weekly site visits to monitor progress and safe working methods
• Attendance at site meetings and coordination with other trades
• Plumbing and lining steelwork to within erection tolerances
• Partial and complete handovers of steel framework as required

The company has an excellent health and safety record and is a fully accredited member of CHAS. The company management is committed to maintaining and improving our high health and safety standards. Our recent training includes;

• IPAF cards for operation of boom lift and scissor lift platforms
• Safety harness use and inspection

• Abrasive wheels
